In the Humanity House, you get to stand in the shoes of a refugee. You experience what it's like to have to leave your house and home behind. After the ‘experience’, you meet eight virtual people from different parts of the world; eight different remarkable stories about fleeing and ending up in the Netherlands.
For more than twenty years, photographer Chris de Bode has been photographing people who have had to leave their homes due to famine, war or conflict. On Museumnacht Den Haag, you can visit his photo exhibition Far from home.
Dive into bed for peace with Humanity House! During Museumnacht we travel back in time to March 1969 when John Lennon and Yoko Ono spent six days in bed in the Amsterdam Hilton hotel. This was their way of protesting against the Vietnam War. Add your own contribution and sing your heart out at the Love & Peace karaoke!
Are you curious about what the future might hold? Then take a trip through time in the future room. You’ll find a traditionally Turkish form of divination there: reading coffee grounds.Buy tickets
